First of all, I love this site, I learned so much from everyone and it has helped my pool maintenance tremendously.
I recently purchased a 1.5HP Calimar VS pool pump, and I did not pay attention that the ports are 1.5". My existing pipes are 2". I found unions that are 1.5" to a 2" socket, but I was wondering if this will hurt the performance of the pump or my DE Filter. I have a 60 sq ft. Hayward DE Filter, 25,000 gallon pool. Thank you
