I don't like the after with the sanded appearance. It takes away from the natural appearance of the stone.

It looks wonderful! I really like the tile and the fire bowls. A nice design!

The stone isn't as pretty as the others but there are no scratches.

Oh, I'm disappointed for you. But maybe once it is all finished, you'll not see the difference anymore. I think you're doing the right thing replacing them. Starting out with scratches isn't a good idea.
