I'm looking at either Blue Surf or Aqua Blue for our colors. PB just called and said that the Blue Surf is considered a category 2 so it would be $300.00 more then the aqua blue which is a category 1. This is a 2nd party that our backyard contractor uses. I asked what does the category mean. She couldn't really tell me, just that they are graded differently due to materials used, blah, blah, blah. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Hi, Reading though these posts. This is interesting what you said about Blue Surf was a basic - cheapest. The third party PB my contractor is using wants to charge us $300.00 more for the Blue Surf color. Said it was next category up from Aqua Blue color.... I think they may just trying to rip us off since it's a new color...

Blue Surf was part of the basic color options from my PB for Pebble Sheen choices. The upgrades were colors that had shells or beads mixed with them. Sounds like they are trying to add money on to your build!
