need help identifying valve for vacuum return

That's a Polaris wall fitting.. it lets you do a quick connect/disconnect of your cleaner. There should be a large wall adapter that stays in the wall also. The small round relief port on the side opens and closes to increase/decreases water pressure to the cleaner.

Skippy :batman: used one to make his fountain which we plug into the cleaner return in the pool. You can see it in the link in my siggy line.

Have you unscrewed the vacuum port fitting from the wall to make sure the connector isn't somehow stopping flow? Maybe the pressure relief valve is messed up, and there's a screen to catch debris that could be clogged.
