Here is a bump to get more eyes on it. I wonder if one of the "build your own pool" offers this service?
I have customers that draw their own pool drawings on proper vellum paper at 1/8 scale.
Take the drawing down to a Office Depot/Staples and have it converted to a e file, at that point they are able to send it to steel engineering firm and file for city permit.

My clients who are owner builders as taking on the project they work directly with the steel engineering firm and the city. Both are accomplished with out ever stepping inside the buildings of both services.
That is good info to have for people to know that do not do this every day. Thanks for sharing that!

It’s one of those things that going into it blind is scary enough but once you understand the process in detail it’s easier to take on.
