It's not so much swimming when the FC's that high as it is that you're not done shocking and I wouldn't recommend swimming until you have passed the OCLT. However, it is safe to swim with the FC up to shock level for your CYA.
You can swim as long as it's below shock level in relation to your CYA level.
It's a little drying to the skin, yes... but not necessarily bad for you and very good for things like athletes foot or nail fungus (got teen boys around the house?).
My dad's infectious disease physician told him to take a bath once a week in a tub w/one cup of bleach. Let's say said tub is filled to 50 gallons. 1 cup of bleach raises chlorine to 77ppm.
Whew, glad to hear that. While I was waiting to do another check, the neighbor came over with her grandkids and went swimming. I happened to be napping. (this shocking is tiresome)
Passed the overnight test. Adding water to help bring down FC and CYA. Back to normal testing for now. When I get CYA down I may venture into the world of borates. :study:
