So my pool pump seized [Hayward super pump SP2610X15] . I considered a variable speed but my pool guy suggest getting same pump and he will install...The new model one since that is discontinued is approx.$900 or so (Hppst2610x15xe )
Complete set up
856.25
Hayward
1.65 HP
I had a friend who used to have a pool suggest just taking off motor which was like 8 bolts..I am mechanically inclined so figured why not
Attached is pictures
But wondering if I should just get complete set up as I don't know what else it may need(seals, etc.)
I think damage was from saltwater..pump only 4 yrs old and at the time was like $400 I think
All advice welcome...thanks in advance
