You could see bottom of shallow end today. There was a green( edit: dark green or black, idk) basketball spot of algae a little under the pool light that I scrubbed along with a few more streaks on one wall. How could the algae still be there with levels this high? I also scrubbed the whole pool two days ago...wasn't able to yesterday.

I also checked the cya level again.... Less than 30 probably 25-30.

If left alone and undisturbed, algae can form biofilms to protect itself from chemical attack. That's why during a SLAM and for routine maintenance brushing and/or running an automated pool cleaner to physically scrub the surfaces is so important. It exposes anything that may be clinging to surfaces to the chlorine in the pool. Likely you missed a few spots when doing your scrubbing because you couldn't see everywhere you were brushing. Now that it's clearing, it's easier to spot trouble areas. Speaking of troubled areas, remove any lights or other fixtures and give them a few good scrubbings during the SLAM. Root the algae out where it likes to live!
