Motor making new noise; bearings?

That's one of them, and I assume it's the one with the broken bolt. So yes, that's the one you need.

Yes item #3 is the one. And yes, if you can get the bolt out you won't need the bell end.

If you don't have the tools to do it (drills and eze-outs) I'd take it to a motor shop and see if they would get it out for you. Even a local autoparts shop might be able to help you out.

gave it a shot and couldn't get it out. ordered a new flange and thru-bolt should be here wed.

If i can get the bolt out i should be good though right?

so that new flange doesn't fit. not even close. Only thing that lines up is the 4 main bolts that do on the seal plate

The plastic piece that mounts on the back of the old flange doesn't come close to lining up either.

Here is both when trying to be seated. I HAVE no idea what to do now, to find a flange that fits since that one said it was a square flange for an AO smith motor with 203 bearings which mine is. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as the frustration level is now at a 10. Pictures of my motor label are on the first page of this thread.

You may have to buy one specifically for that pump.

So is the square flange end bell more for the pump or the motor? Because it doesn't show on the exploded parts diagram for the sta rite pump

I'm just kind of at a loss for how to find the right part and can't really afford to give up and buy a new motor.

It's a motor part but it could be specially required by the pump mfg.

Will do, thanks Just found out a friend got a job in customer service at a pool service place so I may send the old one with him to work and see if they can find one too.
