Modpool from Bellingham, Wa - Easytouch questions

We installed a 16x8 modpool at our house and this is our first adventure into pools. We mostly have been treating it like a hot tub. We are figuring things out, but we have a re-occurring issue where the PLS4 control system loses communication with the Intelliflow Variable speed pump. If we disconnect power for a while it seems to reset and fix, but this is a weekly occurrence. Online it seems we may need to update the software, but it doesn't seem super clear how to do this.

We are also trying to figure out if it is best to run a schedule or just keep the pool warm all the time. It seems everyone has a different opinion.

We didn't add the swimlane jets, but were planning on getting some type of swim tether if anyone has a recommendation.

What model number Intelliflo pump do you have? The 011056 pump that has firmware 3.03 or 3.04 may need an update from Pentair. You need to make a warranty claim and Pentair needs to send someone out to do the update.

What other RS-485 devices do you have connected to your EasyTouch system?

What model heater do you have?

Wolf,

When you put the system into the Service mode, does the pump's screen go blank or does it show something other than "Display not active"???

Basically I need to know if the pump still has power when you are in the Service mode.
