Did some canning today. This is around 30 peaches worth. We had close to 200 peaches on the one tree. 32oz canning jars. Going to be a lot of peaches to can!

I tried this is pretty tight any more and they'd start smashing. This is the first thing I've ever canned so I think I'll do better next round.

I just got the secret message that is spelled out in the peach pattern.
It is hard to believe that one dwarf tree produced all of these peaches.

We are down to our last 50 peaches which will all go into Mason jars with some Vodka to flavor it. 17 quarts of peaches. 5 quarts of flavored vodka. Each quart I would estimate has around 10 peaches. We'll open a jar next week and see how the peaches came out.
My wife and I were talking about how much that tree produced. And I was thinking about the sheer descent leak. That tree is right behind the sheer descent. Then I put 2 and 2 together. I think the daily watering was helping a LOT. And perhaps the slightly saltiness of the water was good for the tree? It sure didn't seem to mind.

I too vote for more booze, whether there are peaches or not.
And mmmmm, reminds me of peach pudding my aunt used to make when the peaches were getting super ripe.
