Maytronics M400 Repair- Any Suggestions?

My M400 stopped working. Dreaded Red Ring. Did recommended diagnostics and brushes would not turn. Dismantled and discovered the housing holding the drive gear sheared and locked down the motor. When I removed the broken pieces, bench testing works fine. See picture. Anyone have a fix solution? I'm thinking I have three options. 1) Reassemble, put back into service and plan for a new unit. 2) Attempt to glue the broken pieces back on, hope for the best, plan to buy another unit. 3) Buy another unit and keep this for service parts. BTW, well outside of warrantee.

Has anyone had this issue with their unit and if so, how did you repair?
