Master temp 400 shows Service Light

Moved from here.
So... Having a similar problem. Heater will turn on, 128, r13, then displays correct temperature. Will display service system light then start to heat. Heats for a while then shuts down, service system led lights again, then goes away, and heater starts. Rinse, repeat. Thoughts?

Check your filter pressure and water flow.

Check the thermal regulator.

Check the bypass valve.

Check for signs of rodents in the heater.

Flip the cover over and watch the diagnostic LEDs as the heater shuts down and see what LED blinks.

and it just gave me on PS on LED 1 when the heater shut off. Exhaust temp is good, filter pressure 20-23, and some signs of wasps which I will clean out.

What speed is the pump at cuz at that filter pressure with low rpm could be your issue. Low pump speed should have a lower psi.

PS is a pressure switch problem.

What is your normal clean filter PSI?
