We have a Hayward self-priming max-flo pump and Pentair Module Filter system for our pool. There are 4 cartridge filters that have a neoprene gasket at the bottom. When we closed our pool last fall, one of those gaskets fell off the cartridge as we were removing it and fell sideways down the side of the standpipe - at least that's what we think happened. We managed to get all the water out of that particular tube and looking down with a flashlight, saw no sign of a gasket.
Now that we're getting ready to open our pool in the next month, we figure we need to do something about that besides just buy a new gasket. Where could it have gone? And is there a possibility it's going to get into our pump and destroy it? How do we find it?
Here's a link to the page for parts: http://www.pentairpool.com/staging/...tandard-and-high-sq-ft-module-filters-238.htm It doesn't show the actual filter, which sits on a standpipe that has a spring and the gasket right below the filters.
Thanks for any ideas.
