Like what tha! The horror! The horror!Yeah, the PO told me last October, “ stock up on 3” tablets while they are cheaper. We used 60-70 lbs. last year.”
Northeast PA. Opened this past weekend. After talking, realized we never put Algeacide in at closing in Nov. Collage of opening day, and a day later below!

Not bad for opening in the South! I’m sure your water temperatures are much higher than they are here. This was taken 5 minutes after pulling the cover.
I will let the water circulate for a day or 2 before running numbers, but I did set the Stenner back to it's schedule for injecting chlorine.
Those photos are a tease! Meanie!Ok y'alls

This week is going to be wet and cool. After next weekend there are alot of 60s in the 45 day and the lows will only be 40s. So I got to bringing out and assembling the pad, then flooded the system and let er rip.
The liner is pretty dirty but overall it's looking great. I'll probably pop the cover next weekend unless the forecast changes as it does.
Just open it, girl! I’m getting impatient here! lol! Here’s the sneak peek

The sun & shadows were playing tricks with my camera but I could still clearly see where I wrote my M in the pool with vit C. Looks like a W from this side.

Just dipped a quick sample off the top - no mixing has occurred yet.
May throw the bot in for a little while to mix things up until I get running.
Not bad at all!! I am just now seeing these replies. You probably got it crystal clear by now!
62 degrees this morning. Not bad for opening in the South! I’m sure your water temperatures are much higher than they are here.
sigh*
The grand opening is canceled. Going scorched Earth on the acre instead.
It has to be done.

I LOVE IT!!! He will be a TFP Expert long before I ever will be, lol!Very shortly after pulling the cover. My 14 year old son was still helping dump the water bags.

And my wife got this yesterday; my 3 year old son helping me "count drops" as I did the first test after topping the water and adding some salt on Saturday.

You have a beautiful pool! My water was a little over 55 degrees F when I opened. I’m curious….since your water temp is so low, did you just let your water sample warm up inside before testing CYA? I wanted to test mine again yesterday but the water was only 53 so I let the sample sit overnight. Wondering if it’s still good for testing? I should know this by now lolThis morning. Weather is horrible! Snowed all day while we cleaned it up and started to balance
Fc 3, cc 0, ph off the chart! 80 oz to get it back to 7.6. Ta 70, ch 175, salt 1800, cya 0. I took water out like 12 times this winter. Then this week 9 inches of water added due to rain. Horrible.
6 hrs of the robot to get all the worms and dirt up and I still need to run it more tomorrow hot water is clear. Not even cloudy.
Water 46.

The CYA will be the same but the PH and FC may be different.so I let the sample sit overnight. Wondering if it’s still good for testing?
My FC was 9ppm when I opened (I let the pump run a few hours before testing). I closed SLIGHTLY above SLAM level and used a solid cover, but was still surprised my FC was so high upon opening lol. I could never go the Polyquat closing route. The low FC would drive my OCD crazy!
Oops!! Ignore my GIF comment I made before I saw these photos! For some reason, I didn’t see this reply. Pool looks amazing! Showoff!!View attachment 562921View attachment 562922View attachment 562923View attachment 562924
Definitely gonna need a good vac run. That'll have to wait because my vac head is too tight in the new pro tuff pole so I have to request an adapter.
PLENTY blue tho.
