Leaky pipe going to booster pump. Can I fix on my own?

I noticed I have a leak in a flexible pipe coming from some PVC in the ground and going to my booster pump. Water pools on the cap of the cylinder that sits atop the PVC (is that a filter) but it sprays when I turn on our pool robot.

Does anyone know what this is and is it something that a newb can easily fix?

Thank you

The flexible hoses are trivially easy to replace. I've replaced mine twice over the last 10 years. The connectors are not as easy to replace because they're not all the same and what you get with a "hose kit" might not fit your pump.

Just don’t use channel locks on plastic fittings 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. Wrong tool for the job. Use a properly sized open end wrench OR an adjustable wrench, never channel locks.

These yahoo DIY’ers YouTube “content creators”, always using the wrong tools for the job … just proves that the internet is full of hacks and derps that have no clue …. oh wait … 🤔
