I backwashed the other day and was quite proud of myself as it was the first time I did it by myself....however, I noticed today the the rim around the backwash valve handle on my Pentair FNS DE 60 filter has water pooled in it and appears to be leaking slightly. Any suggestions?

How good is your builder support, should be something they would take care of on your new pool. Depending on the type of valve you have, they all have shafts that run through the top housing. Inside there is o-ring(s) that may be out of place or damaged.

It was the o-ring! Thanks kadavis!
