I had some sand getting into the pool. Filter hadn't been looked at since 2016(we just moved in) and we got it taken apart. Sand out. Lateral assembly wasnt in bad shape so I was confused. Each lateral looks okay to me -stand pipe as well. However the hub the laterals screw into does have a crack along the seam.
Do I really have to replace the whole assembly for this? Can we not just seal this up somehow?
You can either buy the laterals individually or the whole lateral Assembly. When you try getting just the hub and stand pipe you end up getting close to a price that would just buy the whole assembly at that point. So I was just hoping I can seal this up for now instead of buying a whole new assembly. Any thoughts?
