Anyone successful found a genuine one lately. Amazon sells it but many reviews say it’s not genuin, too stiff and won’t seal. I bought one from EBay due to earlier shipping and it’s just like what the reviews say. It came with the cardboard case that looks authentic but there is no “made in USA” on the seal itself. The pic on the listing does have it.
The reason I suspect it’s not authentic because 3-4 yrs ago I bought a generic one and it looked, felt and function just like this one. It never stayed flat to the floor to create a seal. One side alway lifted from the floor. I remember the Pentair seal is thinner around the edge. This one has the same thickness for the whole seal. I ended up got rid of it. I think The seller from Ebay gave me the same one, unless Pentair changed suppllier. Below is the pics of the actual unit I received and the one on the listing. Note the “made in USA” is missing on the actual unit.
