Okay guys, I bit the bullet since our weather was so lousy this holiday and did two major exchanges of water. My calculations on volume replaced must have been pretty good as I hit 70 on my CYA, cut it right in half! Success! Going to settle in for a few days there and see what my chlorine use looks like. THANKS to the experts here.
