Jandy TruClear SWG clicking - shows Check Cell

I have a 2 year old Jandy TruClear setup, and I just noticed tonight that my SWG was making a sound like it's clicking on and off every few seconds while displaying either "Waiting..." or "Check Cell". Here's a brief video (may need sound up to hear clicking):

The cell was cleaned once last summer by my pool maintenance person. I did some reading here and I can see that "Check Cell" could just mean that it's dead, but I'm curious: what is that clicking sound, and is it odd for this to happen after only 2 years?

Yes, I can do that. Do you think it would be a warranty claim/problem with just the cell or the main SWG controller as well?

It is probably a dead cell that should be replaced under warranty.
