Hello all,

Hoping I can find some help here.

This summer I had a pool guy install a new Sandy Pro-series SFTM24-2.0 sand filter. Since day one, the filter has leaked water out teh waste line when on filter. The stream starts small and then gets bigger over time. The pool drains rather rapidly. The pool guy has been unresponsive when I have asked him to come back and look at the issue.

I have taken apart the multiport valve and the gaskets all look alright, it is a new filter after all. Every other setting works fine.

I lubed the gaskets before I replace the valve. Problem is still happening.

What am I doing wrong?

The MPV is a separate item from the filter itself, so it appears the spider gasket in the MPV is leaking or the rotation of the valve in the MPV is not positioned correctly (maybe a mfg fault?). Those spider gaskets can be a real pain, were you able to completely remove it and inspect it?
