Hello all,
I just changed out my SWG with an off brand from my Jandy 1400 that died. New SWG is working very well and was easy to install but I noticed that the control box is quite hot now. I don't remember that from before but I could have missed it. Any idea what might cause that? When the unit is off it is not hot. I got the SWG from the saltpoolstore.

Any advice or insight is appreciated,

Adam

Was it just the cell you replaced? Or the main back PCB board too? I know the back PCB boards might need to heatsink compound/paste when using Jandy's direct replacement, not sure about the 3rd party/cheaper ones. I guess hot is okay if it's working?

Do you have a thermal camera that you can use to see exactly what is getting hot?

Post a picture or video from the thermal camera.

Check the current that is going to the cell.
