Jacuzzi hot tub hose that goes nowhere

I've had this hot tub for 15 years. It has worked fine recently until it suddenly started leaking water from the bottom of the tub when it is running. I opened up the front panel and noticed a hose with nothing attached to it. (See photo) When it's running, water comes out. It just started happening. I can't see anything near this hose that could ever have been attached to it.
After giving it some thought, I jiggered with the jet closest to the area near that hose, and the leak stopped. Apparently it has something to do with one of the jets. I'm really curious as to what the heck the function of this open hose is.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Some jets need air to operate.. They often just leave an open pipe to provide the air input.

Your problem is that there is now water in the air line.

I would suspect the jet that you wiggled is either bad or plugged.
