Is this not sand or am I losing my mind!?

All,

I always had this sort of sand like substance on my ledges, but none on the pool floor. I assume it was because the pool cleaner couldn't reach it. I chalked it up to having a bunch of sand behind my pool. Well, I got new landscaping put in and the sand is still coming!!!!

Is this sand or is this algae that is growing? Most importantly, how to I get rid of it!!! When I brush it, it looks like a big dust cloud.

Thank you!

Can you pick it up and feel grit? Can you show a pic of the new landscaping and how you suppose all that sand travelled into the pool...it has to travel across yard, right?

Test Results??

I was just in the pool. It definitely has grit to it. Very tiny particles, I am wondering if either my filter or pool cleaner is not really capturing the sand and the grotto is just pumping it right back out?

Test Results.... I will test the pool this weekend.

These are the new plants.

The sand is driving me bonkers!

Is the stone above the seat artificial or natural? Seems like from your pictures it's the only thing that is common to these areas. Maybe some loose material still coming from grotto. Still doesn't explain the material on the seat. In your second picture there appears to be algae under the rock and what is on the seat is also very green

Natural Stone. It looks brown and sandy.
