Hello TFP! We're new owners of a 9x18 Intex Ultra XTR pool, YEA! We're happy we found TFP but wish it had been sooner cuz it's great info here. Anyway... Maybe there's a current thread for this but we haven't found it. If so, please let us know. The issue is the 16"x16"x2" concrete pavers we used under the 12 U-shaped legs of our 9'x18' pool. We started with very hard & very level ground, thankfully. We didn't add anything to our site,16'x24' total. We didn't think it was necessary cuz it's rock hard clay & level within 1"-1½" by using a 10' 2'x4' & 4' level. To protect the bottom & add comfort, we used 24"x"24x¾" foam puzzle mats under the pool itself @10'x18' & split the 1' extra width in half, so it's +6" on each side & it's fine, then ground cloth on top of that. I knew we must countersink the pavers level with the ground, it was critical! Without going into detail about WHY, that did not happen & the pavers sit approx 1½"-2" above the ground. Alrhough the legs & retaining straps are centered, straight & taut, several pavers cracked. But I'm more concerned about the legs slanting in towards the pool & all 4 corner rails are in the shortest position, those rails completely inside the top rails on all 4 sides! So my conclusion is that the corners can't expand because the legs are too high due to the pavers, that's why they're slanted inward, resulting in a pool that measures 8'4"x17'6" not 9'x18'. So the question is this: CAN THE PAVERS BE REMOVED WHILE THE POOL IS FULL-ish, & HOW DO WE DO IT?? We're open to any reasonable ideas so please advise... Thx!

I don’t know about moving/adjustments when “fullish” as u mentioned since when that pool is full there’s over 37,000 lbs of water in it.
A substantial drain will be necessary to be able to move/adjust the pool.
It is recommended to use pressure treated for ground contact boards under the legs for the reason u experienced - the pavers can crack resulting in an unlevel condition.
Their tops should be level with the ground. The boards should be placed perpendicular to the legs .
