Intex pool skimmer not getting proper suction. We have dual outlets and have plugged the one that the skimmer is not attached to which helps but after a while air gets in the hose attached to the plugged outlet. I don't know what else to do or understand where the air is coming from.

Can you post some pics of the pool? A pic of the skimmer and equipment would also be helpful.I can't post pictures until later when I'm home from work. It is a Intex Prism 18'x48" above ground pool. The pump is a Intex 12" Sand Filter with a flow rate of 1,600 GPH. The skimmer is the Intex Deluxe Skimmer that attached to the top rail of the pool. The skimmer will work fairly well with one hole plugged but somehow it allows air in the hose as well.

That's okay. The Intex set-up is fairly straight-forward, so some pics later may help to clarify a few things. We'll keep an eye out later.
