Interior Filter Tube Seam Crack (VIDEO)

I have been having trouble keeping pressure for waterfalls, cleaners etc etc
i think I may have found the issue.
Appears to be cracks at this seam?
Is this normal for this type of filter?
Should I just get some JB weld and go at it?

Unfortunately, its new filter time. Trying to patch a pressure leak is just putting a soon-to-fail bandage on.

What is the shelf life on these?
