Well it is still working, of course it has only been a day and a half. It may be my imagination but this one seems even quieter than the original Betta. Anyway, the new one has very different motors and propellers and no longer has the blue and red lights in the back, just green flashing LED's in the front which change to red if there is an issue of some kind. The metal wire on the back underside is gone and molded-in plastic replaces it. I know in the past they have said they upgraded the motors and they did change the motor type once that I noticed in all of the Betta's I have gone through, but the motors on the new Betta II are way different.
Maybe Vivian felt sorry for me since I have gone through six new Betta's and one repair, she offered the new Betta II for $200 or $60 for the repair and software update of my present one. Needless to say I was not going for another repair. She sent a return label for my old one and I received the new one on Friday. I did not expect it until later next week but it arrived a day after I ordered it, their fastest delivery yet, though I am only about 110 miles from Instapark. I am going to purchase the 3 year warranty which covers all repair and shipping, it is $59.99 and you have thirty days to purchase it. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
