I’m wanting to install an Intex sand filter/pump on my 18’ Summer Waves pool, converting it over from the SFX1500 skimmer/pump the pool came with.
I know there’s a lot of ways to do this, but I think I want to replace the SFX with a Hayward SP1091LX thru-wall skimmer. The problem is my pool already has a round hole pre cut for the SXF1500 skimmer/pump and the Hayward skimmer opening is obviously square. Is there anyone who’s done this conversion with success? If so, how did you do it and how did it turn out?
