Inline chlorinator leaking

Hello,

After opening up the pool and turning on the deck jets, I noticed leakage from the lid. It is strange, as there is no leak when my variable speed is at high. Just when I have the deck jets on, at a medium to high RPM. It is a Hayward chlorinator? Do I need a new one? It is only 3 years old.

Any suggestions on prolonging my heater's life?
Stop using Trichlor and get rid of the in-line chlorinator. The acid in the chlorinator will backflow into the heater when the pump is off and damage it.

Use a SWG to chlorinate your pool.

Run the heater regularly and keep critters from nesting in it over the winter.
