I'm planning an inground plunge tub and need help with pump and chilller:
Tub: Concrete blocks with insulation. 40" x 40" x 40". About 250 gallons (water line at 36", etc)

I would like to put the chiller and pump above the ground, with one of the lines going to the bottom of the tub, one near the top.
Most of the standard plunger chiller/pump systems seem to use a gravity feed pump. I am told that this is not going to work when the water is below the pump.

So here's the thing; someone at Penguin chillers said that I can't use a different pump because it may overpower the chiller and damage it.

Does anyone know of options for a chiller/pump combination that would work in this configuration ?

Thanks :)

John

Welcome to TFP.

Can you give us links to specific chillers and pumps you are considering?
