I feel this builder just wants to keep on tacking on ridiculous charges. He quoted $13,000 to install a fiberglass in ground tub that runs off my pools filters, pump and heater. Meanwhile a separate well known and respectable fiberglass pool company quoted $15,000 with all separate equipment installed. Same tub. :grrrr:

Even if the skimmers, main drains and/or returns only came with 1.5 inch fittings, that would not preclude running 2-inch from the system to the pool. However, they do come in 2-inch and, in my opinion, that is what should be used.

Maybe since I need black skimmers and returns that they only come in 1.5". But that's not what the PB was implying.
