Inflatable cheapo pool startup

Hi all,

New here. I've searched around and tried to do some due diligence on not asking a repeat question, but haven't really got a concrete answer.

I just bought a cheapo inflatable pool for $120. It's fifteen feet in diameter and 33" tall and comes with a pump. I'm not expecting much except for a workable pool for my two tall enough kids. Not trying to impress any guests or anything. Just something to have fun in for a couple months.

I live in Houston, so it's always humid and hot. Also, unfortunately, my backyard has zero shade and faces west, so there will be constant sun on it, except for the mornings for a couple hours from house-shade.

Ground is level enough. Flat with minor divots, I wasn't planning on going completely flat. I was also just planning on putting down two tarps down underneath it for protection from the grass/weeds.

Everything else that I saw on here was for more permanent set-ups, so maybe I'm either over thinking this or under thinking it.

Planning on getting:
testing kit for chlorine and ph levels
chlorine floater with tablets from costco
bleach for shock
ph decreaser

Is there anything else that I'm missing? A bit concerned about the sun shining on it all day every day but also not sure if a cover would be 'worth it' with such a temporary (inflatable) thing. Anything else I should do right after I fill it up?

Any help/comments/thoughts would be appreciated. Also any thoughts on what my expectations should look like.

Thanks!
