Yea that seems to have some pretty big gaps. Not so sure I like that. Maybe there is a third party that fits in the hayward ports

It also looks like my sand pump hoses will screw directly onto PVC or the hayward outlets without the need for the game adapters.. (with a flush connection basically, and the threaded nut holding it together.. there arent threads inside the hose, only in the threaded nut on the end, which match 1.5" threads)
I just finished cutting those stupid plastic things that serve as suction/returns, off my Intex Pool and it wasn't as stressful as I anticipated! I had two of these things to remove and it was a piece of cake!
I chose to do it before I set my pool up, but I will put the thru-the-wall skimmer in when the pool is set up in September!
