Hello Everyone
As you can see, I have some major issues. I will like to try and save this swimming pool if I can.
Issues.
The pool has fiberglass sides with concrete bottom.
I attempted to patch the cracks as much as possible and paint with epoxy paint. That lasted for about two years. Now I am back to square one.
At this point, I am looking for advise on a more long term repair.
So I am in the process of cleaning the pool out again.
Structural cracks in the swimming pool.
One part of the wall has a pretty big crack whereas little plants are coming through.
I tried to use hydraulic cement the last time...I may not have done it correctly.
Environmental issues
My back yard backs up to a creek.
I looked around the swimming pool to see if there was some type of hose to try and drain the water causing hydro-static pressure around the pool but that may not have been a practice back then
If I cant stop the water from coming in, I cant stop if from going out.
In one of the pictures, you can see a crack where the water trails are pointing downward.
I have seen some post about someone who used the hole and had them shoot gunnite on the floor and wall but I dont know if there are any builders in my area that do that sort of thing living in Michigan.
I also saw a post that mentioned Olympic Concrete Crack Patch. This seems like a viable idea but it seems to be latex and that does not mix with epoxy. there is also something called Olympic Poxofill and I will need to look more into that.
What are your thoughts.
