How to tell if your catridge needs replacing while SLAMing

Hey all,
Just what the title advertises. I feel like my filter cartridge is getting clogged VERY rapidly. Once it's been running for a while, there also is a pool of water in the central cavity of the cartridge.
I feel like I should be cleaning it 3-4 times per day at minimum right now, and that seems atypical from my experience.

Depends on your level of solids in the water. Have you soaked the cartridge in TSP recently? That will remove oils from sunscreen, hair products, bodies, etc.
 
No, i'm just using the hose to spray it out.. got one of those hair pick things on the end of the hose to clean between the baffles.. The water was pretty swampy, so that could be the issue.
My CC is dropping, so hopefully it's mostly skeletons in there now.. :)
