How to seal gap under coping

One of my skimmers is in a flower bed, and the builder didn’t fully seal the joint between the coping and the skimmer’s gunite surround, so there’s a 1/4 to 1/2” gap. I get some dirt from the flower bed wash into the pool through this gap during heavy rains.

What would be the best way / product to seal this?

I have used Landscape PL500 adhesive made by Loctite. Can be purchased at Home Depot. You may need to clean out from the garden side and add multiple layers to get good seal.
