how often to SHOCK ?

great ! thank you. i read or i'm still reading the post he left me ( the graphs from his previous post). I guess all that is condensed into the Pool Calculator or Pool Math for you, as it were.
BTW, 7 day into the Slamming, water is 95 ~ 97% clear, i'm brushing it 3 ~ 5 times a day to get the stuff (dead mater ~ algae ) up off the floor of the pool.
I figured it it gets into circulation especially passing thru the sand filter, it'll speed up the 'break-down' of itself.
Every night i brush i see 1/2 of the stuff left on the floor, so obviously its working. When it's absolutely all gone i'll test for any 'over night FC loss' before winding down the slam process.
i'll keep the FC's high in the 4 ~ 7 ( before and after sunset )
Ocasionally, testing with the TF 100 kit for any overnight loss - a sign of trouble if there is an overnight loss
