How long after using dry acid to lower pool PH is it safe to swim?

Dry acid is best added by pre-dissolving it in a bucket of water and then pouring that slowly in front of a return.
Run the pump and brush if you wish. You can swim after a few minutes.

Best is to use muriatic acid.

Too late , I already poured it directly in the pool ( I read the instructions instead of asking here first like a dummy). Given that should I wait longer? My pump is on.

Be sure you brush the area VERY WELL. As long as you do that, you should be OK to swim.
