I am trying to unscrew this attachment so I can put in something that makes more of a fountain for evaporative cooling. The pool builders screwed this in. I watched the guy screw it in right in from of me. I cannot get this thing out. It is in so tight. I have used every tool I can think of and it hasn’t budged at all. Am I just being dense here? Any great ideas?

This is what I use, designed for removing sprinkler pipes in threaded risers.
When plastic is threaded into plastic with out a compound it becomes very hard to seperate the two.
