The pool is getting a full remodel starting Soon(TM). I've run across large (hose) water filters for use in RV's, washing the car, etc. Would it make sense to use something like this when refilling the pool? Has anyone tried? It's supposedly rated for 18,000 gallons which is more than the size of my pool

I'm aware that making the water "taste better" doesn't particularly matter with a pool, but overall cleaner water would logically be better. Also yes, I'm well aware that my pool will quickly get lots of "Crud" in the water anyways, especially with it being freshly remodeled/replastered. More a thought exercise than a serious "must I do this".

PS. I live in an area with excellent city water quality. I've filled/topped off the pool for years with city water without issue.

Those filters will remove chlorine (for a small amount of water in comparison to a pool) and sediment.

Not needed.
