Hi. New member. Why didnt anyone tell me this...??

Pic's are always good.
Cellulose fiber on top of your sand filter will give you a little extra filtering ability. Cellulose seems to be a viable replacement for DE, and it's non-toxic, and its biodegradable. It is purported to filter down to two microns where DE filters to four microns. Don't forget to replace it each time you backwash though.

I use it in my filter after all the spring tree junk and cottons are done. Others on here have stated not to use it in a cart filter but there are dosage instructions for sand and cart filters. It puts a "polish" on the water and I have never had it drive up my pressure.
