I've been keeping our pool clear with the usual chlorine powder, pucks, etc. I want to start using the BBB (bleach, baking soda, and borax) system.
I live in the foothills of SC.
If anyone has any words of advice for my transition to this BBB form of keeping my pool sparkling clean please by all means let me know.
All recommendations and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,
Rick

Welcome to the forum!
To be honest, we refrain from using the "BBB" moniker anymore as most pools never (or seldom) need the last two "B"'s. Folks heard BBB and ran out and stocked up on Bleach, Borax and Baking Soda, generally unnecessarily. Most pools, once stabilized only need chlorine and muriatic acid.
I suggest you read through Pool School - Trouble Free Pool and even look at a few of our videos TFP-TV - Trouble Free Pool

Hi Rick...welcome to TFP :)
The most important element of taking care of your pool our way is pool owner testing. with a quality kit. The kit must include an FAS-DPD test for higher chlorine levels.
I use the TF-100 Salt Pro, but the TF-100 is perfect for your needs- www.tftestkits.net
Also available at other online dealers is a comparable kit, the Taylor K-2006C.
