We installed our original pool in 2000 with white plaster, brick coping and Kool Deck. We had to re-do white plaster in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina put roofing shingles in our pool and stained the bottom. In 2014 we had to re-do pool again due to a Freeze causing our brick coping to separate from the pool and hail doing damage to our pool slide and some of our Kool deck. We changed pool tiles and brick coping to a Travertine coping and re-coated the Kool deck. Bad plaster job had to be re-done in 2015. Still not happy with the re-plaster but lived with it. Now 7 years later, it's time for another re-model as plaster and Kool deck need to be replaced. No one told us that we would have to re-do our pool so much. I'm so glad I found this site. Hopefully, the next remodel will last a while!
