Help: Replace Light Assembly or just Bulb

Hello folks,

Quick question: when we bought our house, the pool light never worked, and we're just getting around to fixing it.

When I pulled out the light assembly, it still floated to the top, so I figured it was totally sealed up. I pulled the gasket and lense off and here is the state (see pictures). With this, would you guys try replacing the bulb and gasket, or is it toast and a whole new assembly needed?

Thanks

If your light is connected to a GFCI CB you can try a new bulb and see if it works.

We don't have a GFCI breaker, unfortunately. Just a normal breaker since it's an older house
If your pool light does not run through a GFCI breaker or outlet I would install GFCI protection on it before trying the light.

Post pics of your CB panel.

Run the pool circuit through the load side of a GFCI outlet.
