One other thing - When the water level dropped due to leaking, the new plaster was exposed and turned a lighter color than the rest of the plaster. Is this fixable?

To fix all these issues would likely require a re plaster. They have made so many mistakes. There should be no salt added for 30 days.
Spoke to the PB today. He said he thought this could be fixed by polishing the surface. Has anyone heard of polishing a pool before? Is this a legit thing??
Still a nightmare! We've spent the last few weeks chasing down a leak and think we finally have that taken care of. Tomorrow they come out to acid wash and polish the pool. I hope this remedies the metal staining and the rough/discolored patches around the pool. I will update more pics once that's done. Very thankful to have a great PB who is doing any and everything to make sure this turns out perfectly.
