HELP MOTOR OIL IN POOL

One of the knuckleheads in my house, put their used engine oil in to an empty liquid chlorine bottle and put in back next to my case of chlorine. So I added some oil to my pool. I skimmed out what I could get with paper towels shoved into the leaf skimmer. Can I put an old cartridge filter in and let it run?????
I AM SO MAD!!!
Any help will be appreciated.

Oops. Here's a list of things you can do form others who did the same:
- Oil mats; check with your auto parts store
- Tennis balls in skimmer
- Pool First Aid; one of the few times we recommend a pool store product, but it contains enzymes that could help.
- Polyfill in your skimmer (with skimmer sock)
- Wipe the pool walls periodically

2 glugs or a half gallon ?

I'll +1 all the above, buy especially the tennis balls. I let 2 hang in each skimmer all season.

Not sure if they'll clean or be disposable in this scenario though.
