Hi, my name is Nicole. I started lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons when I was 15 at the Belen High School Pool. I continued to work there during the summers through college, along with working year-round at the pool at the University of New Mexico, where I became a head swim instructor and eventually assistant manager. I was first LGI and CPO certified in the role of assistant manager, but I didn't do much with the CPO beyond checking chems and occasionally backwashing. In February of 2022, I was hired as the aquatic facility manager at Albuquerque Academy, a private school that runs 6-12th grade. We have two indoor pools in our natatorium, a competition pool and an auxiliary/diving pool. We host a club team as well as the school swim team and masters program. The facility is over 20 years old, and I've already had some fun experiences with maintenance here. I look forward to picking the community's brains when issues arise! Thank you
