Update:
Well my pool is done and the steps are working out just fine.. PB was right The top step could probably be a little deeper but it is fine. They stuck the coping out a little too far in that spot. The height seems good though, not hard to get in and out.
@Ginger - I had them cut some pieces of coping smaller so I could stack them in the spa as steps if I needed them. Mine are precast so the water wouldn't break them down like real stone might. I bet a cinder block would work too though. They also sell concrete step stones at Home Depot too, and you could probably cut those in half so they didn't take up as much room. Good luck!
